Save Me Ch 14

It was dark and rainy, the clouds were sinister and cold. I looked around and saw Edward, a scowl on his beautiful god like face. I went to cup his cheek to ask what was wrong he flinched away and growled.

"Don't touch me." He hissed, "you're right you are a danger to my family, I want nothing to do with you, nothing. I packed all of your things and shipped them to Charlie's were you will be going back to."

"Wh-what? No, no Edward I love you. I can't go back, please let me stay with you." I cried

"I don't want you here, Bella. I don't love you anymore." His eyes black with rage

"You, don't want me?"

"No."

Then he was gone, thunder banging loudly lighting flashing everywhere. I sank to my knees and started crying "Come back, I swear I'll keep you safe. I would never let anything happen to you. I love you, please come back."

"Bella..."

"You said you didn't want me, now go!"

"Bella, love please open your eyes." A voice pleading

I slowly open my eyes to meet piercing green ones, full of sorrow, anger and love. I realized I had tears coming down when one of his long finger wiped them away. Didn't he just say he didn't want anything to do with me? Didn't he say he wanted me out of his life? That I had to go back to Charlie? The thought made me sick, I pulled away from his grasp and ran to his bathroom and heaved. I felt someone holding back my hair, I tried to push them away but they stayed.

"Don't you dare push me out of here, Bella." His voice threatened

"Get out," I croaked "you don't need to see me like this, please just get out." More tears leaving my eyes.

"I'm not leaving you Bella."

I knew I wasn't going to throw up again, so I stood and cleaned my mouth. When I finished, I walked out of the bathroom when someone grabbed my shoulder. I jumped and screamed, when I turned it was Edward I stopped right away his eyes were hurt, confused and concerned.

"Bella, what were you dreaming about?" He cupped my cheek

"N-nothing...just a bad dream. I'm sorry if I woke you up." I whispered, putting on a blank face

"Bella don't shut me out, you were screaming 'Edward...don't leave.' You think I'm going to leave you? Was that what you were dreaming about me leaving you?"

I nodded my head and sniffled, he pulled me into his chest and smoothed my hair. "Bella, I will never ever leave you. Do you hear me? Never."

"I--I'm not safe, your family Edward. What about them? I don't want anything to happen to them."

"Nothing will happen to them, I promise." He told me burring his face in my hair.

"You can't promise that," I whispered "but I will do everything to keep them safe." I murmured kissing his chest

He put his finger under my chin and lifted it, "We will keep them safe, but more me than you, I can't let anything else happen to you."

"Nothing will happen to me, I'll keep myself safe."

I cupped his cheek and brought his lips to mine and kissed him softly, "let's go back to bed." I whispered

He kissed me one more time, "alright let's go." He carried me to bed and set me down gently. He crawled into bed and pulled me close to his chest without hurting me.

"I love you, Edward."

"I love you too, sweet girl."

I drifted back to sleep, feeling his heart beat on my back knowing I was safe and loved. Sleep come over easy this time, but this dream I was trapped in a room and I couldn't get out. I was alone and waiting for death to come.
